Earning graduate degrees from Columbia and Yale Universities, Dr. Justin Jones is a clinical psychologist, licensed in both the states of New York and Massachusetts, who is trained in psychoanalytic, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and humanistic/spiritual treatment modalities.
Having worked at NYU/Bellevue Hospital, St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital and Columbia University Medical Center in New York City, he is particularly adept at helping those struggling with even the most intense of life difficulties to find a measure of meaning, satisfaction, and success. Dr. Jones is currently in full-time private practice and an adjunct professor of clinical psychology at Columbia University.
Sylvia Martinez received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University, and her Master’s degree from Drexel University. She is a New York State Licensed and Board Certified Creative Arts Therapist working in an inpatient psychiatric setting at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx borough of New York City. She has worked at an eating disorders unit at Friends Hospital and facilitated individual and family therapy with children, adolescents and adults both in outpatient and foster care settings. Sylvia currently works as the primary art therapist on a clinical team treating adults with chronic and severe mental illness as well as those suffering through an acute crisis or traumatic events that require intensive treatment and hospitalization. She provides art therapy, creative writing and relaxation sessions to patients in her care and strongly believes that the creative process fosters self-awareness, as well as mental, emotional and spiritual growth.
